Backfill Complete!

WOW!  The big pile of dirt that I've been looking at for about a year and half is GONE!  The back fill is complete and we should expect a main floor foundation pour soon.  They have to put in the rebar, forms and plumbing first.  Hopefully we will see this pour happen after the 4th.  It's beginning to look like a house:)  Dare I become hopeful that we will be move in in 2014?

More Walls!

Well here we are 8 months later and still working on the foundation:(  We have side walls now, Needless to say we're terribly frustrated by the lack of progress in a timely manner but are hopeful to be past the most difficult part of our build.  French drain, pea gravel, and back fill, then on to the main floor foundation.  Here's to hoping we're in before Thanksgiving.
